Statistics showed that exports of Chongqing to Asia market were US$1.167 billion, up by 1.01 percent compared with 2004, but to EU, North American, Latin American and African markets were US$548 million, US$356 million, US$212 million and US$199 million respectively, up by 5.14 percent, 56.45 percent, 95.38 percent and 20.34 percent respectively.
Promoted by the strategy of market and products diversification, export market structure of products made in Chongqing tended to be reasonable, and total exports to new markets of EU and America had exceeded that at Asian market which was ever been the only market for made-in-Chongqing products.
