Textile & garment sector relies on imported cotton

Vietnamese textile and garment industry relies more on US, Switzerland and India for its need of cotton and cotton materials as the industry sources revealed that from the 18 supplier countries, these three countries dominate largest market share.
Industry analysts predicted that in next few years, the situation would remain same and these three countries would continue to supply cotton to Vietnam.
However, it should be noted that Vietnamese textile and garment players have started to encourage cotton producers at home.
