Turkey's leading textile producing province, Bursa has recorded an increase of 13.9 in textile exports.
Exports in value reached $220.5 million in the first quarter of this year, according to Uludag Exporters Association.
While ready-made garment sector in Bursa could not achieve same results and pushed behind with 1.8 percent decline in exports during the January to March 2006.
Textile manufacturers of Turkey have requested the government to cut the tax applied to clothing from 18 to 8 percent.
