ADB lists Vietnam among top ten textile & garment exporting nations

Asian Development Bank (ADB) based in Philippines, has ranked Vietnam among the top ten largest textile and garment exporters from Asia post MFA era since 2005.
Featuring among textile and garment industry big-wigs like China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Indonesia, Vietnam has recorded exports turnover from 23 percent in 2004 to 24 percent in 2005 and from 20.5 percent to 22.7 percent in terms of volume and value, respectively.
According to ADB, China is still the biggest exporter of textiles and apparels in the world, as the country has 30 percent of the European Union and 25 percent of the US markets.
