Textile and garment exports revenue for the first quarter of 2006 was pegged at US $1.3 billion, representing a 40 percent rise over the same period in 2005.
March alone grossed nearly $500 million.
Ministry of Textile (MOT) revealed that this figure is the highest recorded in past several years and is a result of major sales to the US, the EU and Japan markets.
