Russia to curb Chinese textile import

Russia has decided to prevent import of light industry's products, especially of textile. However, at present, Russia has asked China to supply all textile products.

It is reported that clothing sales in Russia are about US $30 billion each year, and Chinese clothing enjoys a major chunk of this sale.

In 2005, the amount of clothing import was more than $1 billion, of which, China accounted for around 90 percent.

Russia has begun to prevent textile import in order to check imports of Chinese textiles.
