Development of infrastructure vital for Uttaranchal

While addressing a high-level delegation of the CII Tiwari told, Uttaranchal was offering a driving force for the development of different airports, rail lines and road networks.
Tiwari stressed out the requirement for setting up a task force to supervise various developmental works presently under advancement in the state.
Delegation focused on key matters of infrastructure, connectivity, FDI in Uttaranchal, enhancing employability, internal competitiveness of the industries and development of agriculture.
Laying emphasis on inadequate land accessibility in Uttaranchal, Tiwari said it was vital to look at agro-based and other industries appropriate for the hill areas of the state.
He recommended the establishment of an area-specific task force to exert developmental plans based on definite necessities and potentialities of relevant regions within the state.
Indira Hridayesh, PWD Minister described for tapping the increasing potential of the agriculture sector in the state.
Gupta while highlighting the theme 'Nirman' of the CII for 2006-2007, emphasized on regional-state competitiveness, creating opportunities for business development, agriculture and industrial competitiveness and development of human resources.
