Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi earned export revenue worth US $1.383 billion, registering a 23.1 percent growth during first five months of 2006.
Hanoi is the biggest textile and garment hub beside Ho Chi Minh city.
Revenues of local enterprises accounted for $723 million, representing 36.7 percent rise over same period last year.
Garment sector attained highest growth at 17.5 percent worth $258.580 million.
