Vietnam's import turnover of 100 percent - polyester fabric during first quarter of 2006 posted a 30 percent surge in comparison to same period, in 2005.
Vietnamese importers increased their imports from Taiwan, China and Bangladesh, but cut them from from Japan and India, during this period.
Current import of the polyester fabrics took place at a higher price compared to the average price during first quarter this year, and is predicted to remain high in coming times due to fluctuations in crude oil prices, worldwide.
