Following the US and EU restrictions on Chinese textiles, the Mainland has explored new destinations to export its products.
Latin American countries are new export destinations for China and particularly from Guangdong Province, which have flooded marketplaces of Argentina and Mexico with loads of cheap textile goods.
Export value of textile from Guangdong to Latin America is rising, and this in turn has invites sanitary and phytosanitary measures on Chinese products to protect local markets.
It is reported that in the last 5 months, export value to Latin American countries is US $0.63 billion registering a 100 percent increase.
