Based on the actual performance of textile and garment export quota fund prior to June 28, 2006, Vietnamese Inter - ministries of Trade and Industry issued Notification No. 0254/BTM-DM to grant export licenses to specific exporters.
In notification is signed by Trade Deputy Minister Phan The Rue on 4 July 2006, list of such enterprises exporting product categories No. 334/335, 338/339, 347348, 638/639 and 647/648 to the US have been announced from among the rest of auto-visa quota enterprises for 2006.
To prevent fraudulent practices as most of these categories are among 'hot export items' for the US market, the Ministries have authorized all regional controlling departments to strictly supervise issuance of export licenses to such enterprises.
