Indian companies were invited to build joint ventures with Spanish firms and it was assured by Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero that his government would fully support to facilitate investments.
Addressing a meeting jointly organized by three-apex trade and industry associations, Luis stated, Spain could learn from India in the field of IT and biotechnology, while India could take advantage from the know-how Spain has in infrastructure.
Seeking mutually beneficial ties between the two countries, he expressed interest in India's expertise in the fields of education and technology being the main drivers of the country's economic growth and sought the two countries to sign bilateral agreements in these fields.
India could provide its technology in fields like the leather sector where it had developed eco-friendly technologies affirmed, Kapil Sibal, Minister for Science and Technology.
