Non-quota goods exports to US rise in 2006

Non–quota textile and apparel products are rapidly gaining popularity in US markets as a significant rise was witnessed in export value and volume since early 2006.

During January–June 2006 period, from total exports revenue to the US, non–quota goods categories reached $350 million, with year-on-year growth of 3.9 percent.

Most non–quota goods categories recorded high growth rate, so far this year, including categories No.350/650 (Skirt), No. 360 (pillow cover), No.361 (bedspread), No. 443 (Suit for men), No. 603/604 (Synthetic staple), No. 666 (interior of synthetic fabric) and No. 670 (bag and baggage).
