During January–May 2006 period, Russia imported US $20.9 million worth of textile and garment goods from Vietnam, registering year–on–year rise of 69 percent.
Major goods categories that gained highest earnings in the period include elastic shirt, jacket and overcoat.
Exports revenue of elastic shirt and jacket reached $5.2 million and $3.36 million, respectively.
Overcoat exports revenue represented 319 percent rise from the same period 2005, yielding $2 million.
