Vietnam's export to Japan which accounted for 13.3 percent of country's total export turnover, increased 23.6 percent to US $2.5 billion in first six months of the current year.
Categories such as coffee, footwear and coal exports increased between 61.1 to 99.8 percent.
Handicrafts and footwear also registered high exports turnover in first six months.
While garment and electronic items' export turnover gained at slower pace between 5.6 percent and 6.2 percent.
