Footwear exports to Chile surge 68.29%

Chile imported 1.27 million pairs worth $12.12 million during January to July 2006, informed sources from Ministry of Trade (MOT).

During the period in consideration, volume of imported shoes reported sharp rise of 62.33 percent while its value soared 68.29 percent.

MOT expects that footwear exports to Chile will touch $30 million by 2006 as both the Governments are considering implementation of Free Trade Agreement between them.
