For the first six months of the current year, textile and related products exports from Sharjah rose 12.46 percent to Dh168.45 million ($45.86 million), up from Dh149.8 million compared to same period, last year.
Shrjah's overall exports rose 9.8 percent to Dh4.78 billion compared with Dh4.35 billion, while its re-exports grew 18.8 percent to Dh3.589 billion from Dh3.022 billion for the period in consideration.
As per the data released by Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Emirates textile and equipments exports jumped 68.7 percent to Dh59.8 million from Dh35.5 million during the said period, while its re-exports of these products touched around Dh108.63 million.
