Finnair, the Finnish carrier is scheduled to introduce non-stop flights between Helsinki and New Delhi and it would be accompanied by Santa Claus from the Arctic Circle to all the way to Indian shores.
Even though the trade between two countries has been relatively small, it has been increasing at a brisk pace. Finnish companies like Nokia, Elcoteq and Kone have operations in India; Indian firms like Wipro and Sasken Tech have been looking to secure stakes in Finland.
Finland imports items like agri products, gems and jewellery, textile and other clothing accessories from India.
