Negotiations on the US-Korea Free Trade Agreement are headed in no direction with disagreement on the issues like tariff.

Meeting at the Washington State Convention and Trade Centre will decide the future course of action as negotiations scheduled for South Korea in October and United states in December.

South Korea feels that it is fighting for its survival against US and that feeling is not without genuine reasons. It has such high tariff in agriculture that keeps US products at bay but causing immense loss to Korean consumers as they are deprived of quality goods at competitive prices.

While US is eager to make an entry in sectors like cars, pharmaceuticals and banking sector along with the insurance market, Korea wants US to open sectors like textile and apparel and bring flexibility in the yarn purchase.
