Textile and garment imports touched 105.4 thousand tons of cotton worth $125.9 million in first seven months of current year.
Imports of cotton rose 9 percent in terms of volume and 18.3 percent on value basis.
In July alone country imported 18.1 thouand tons of cotton worth $22 million which indicates growth of 21.1 percent and 19.3 percent in terms of volume and value respectively.
The US, which has exported 5000 tons of cotton, was the highest among all the exporters.
