Exports from Ho Chi Minh City have increased 16.4 percent to US $10,499 million during first nine months of the current year, according to Department of Statistics.
Among the major export goods categories, country has exported crude oil worth $6,476 million while footwear, garment and fisheries were other major export categories.
Despite having severe competition from Chinese garment products, country's garment sector has fetched $688 million, up 12.1 percent while footwear sector exports rose 5.6 percent to $182.3 million for the period in consideration.
