Vietnam's exports earning from textile and seafood have jumped and have been at second place behind the crude oil from the total export of US$29.4 billion during the first nine months in 2006.
Textile and garment fetched $4.46 billion which was a jump of 27.8 percent compared to the same period last year. The phenomenal rise has been possible due to expansion in exports to markets like North America, Africa and Eastern Europe.
Anti-dumping law-suits have made Vietnamese exporters look to other markets like Japan and EU and this has helped in the export of shrimp and catfish products.
