In August 2006, Vietnam imported US $9.5 million worth of synthetic leather, down 11.58 percent from same month last year, industrial sources said.
One of key reason for such significant drop, is strong reduction in August prices with a forecast of further deflation.
However, the figures of the early eight months this year showed a growth of 9.48 percent in comparison with same period 2005, totaled $85.77 million.
