Two-way trade with Vietnam profitable

Trade promotion delegation and 60 domestic producers met in Mexico on Monday to discuss bilateral trade between the two countries.

Both believed that being the members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, countries had a lot of potential and cooperation would generate significant trade opportunities.

Le Van Thinh, Vietnamese Ambassador, promised complete support to resolve any difficulties faced by the producers and exporters.

Meanwhile, Mexican players expressed keen interest in Vietnam's footwear, garment and handicrafts and wood works.

Mexico reported that the two-way trade between earned US $164 million in the first half of 2006, representing a year-on-year rise of 20 percent.
