According to the General Administration of Customs, during January-July 2006 China imported 1989 over 165cm circular machines, falling 17.54 percent from the same period of previous year, with import value at US $84.68 million, down 13.69 percent.
Average import price was $42600 per set, rising 4.67 percent from the same period of last year.
The top five importers in accumulative quantity were Guangdong with 651 sets, declining 22.04 percent; Zhejing with 564 sets, up 24.23 percent; Jiangsu with 518 sets, increasing 27.59 percent; Shandong with 111 sets; falling 69.42 percent; fujian with 64 sets, dropping 49.21 percent comparing to the same period of year prior.
