Bypassing the orders of Federal Government to destroy all seized goods by burning them, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) has auctioned seven containers of captured textil materials. The materials have been allegedly given to some highly influential people.
The containers are said to have been auctioned at a give away prices leading to protests by their owners who asked the motive of such auction.
Despite huge cache of goods by customs, experts are wary of the huge presence of such items in the market which they say could be result of goods escaping eye of the customs.
