Clothing exports likely to be increased by 2010

A target of 500 million square meters of clothes woven with shuttles is expected to be achieved by Vietnam in 2010 and a target of 1 billion square meters in 2015.

Domestic garment and textile industry is discouraging small dyeing factories and so that they are encouraged to work as joint stock companies or under other cooperation contracts.

This will help them to achieve their target of constructing large-scale weaving and dyeing centers.

For lifting production target industry is planning to invest US $2 billion in 2005-2010.

During first ten months of this year an increase in export of 27.2 percent is noticed and approximately five million dollars is gained by Vietnam.

Vietnam is expected to harvest 5.8 billion approximately from export of textiles and garments.
