A recent statistics revealed by General Department of Vietnam Customs showed that textile and apparel exports turnover of Vietnam to Korea touched $7.7 million in September 2006 with year–on–year increase of 77 percent, industrial sources said.

For first nine months, the figures showed a rise of 62.08 percent and generated income of $54.6 million, added the sources.

Industrial experts forecasted that exports turnover will be benefited by favorable condition of market during end months of the year, as Vietnamese enterprises have been focusing on the non–quota controlled markets in these months.

Jacket accounted nearly 30 percent of all the goods marketed at Korean market, worth $16.09 million.

Cotton towel and trousers also earned similar growth as these generated $5.87 million and $4.9 million at an increasing rate of 135 percent and 16 percent than in same period of 2005.
