Exports for first 11 months of 2006 to reach $36.3bn

Vietnam's export earnings in first 11 months of 2006 are expected to reach US $36.3 billion, which is 23.7 percent higher than last year. Trade Ministry's Information Trade Center stated that garments and textiles are supposed to contribute high export value of $5.4 billion for this period.
During the 11 month period, goods worth $40.8 billion have been imported to the country, which is up by 21.4 percent as against last year.
Vietnam's net exports in 2005 were $32.2 billion, which upturned 21.6 percent from 2004. Country is expanding exports, increasing its markets and promoting trade to achieve this year's growth target of 17.4 percent set by National Assembly, which is its top legislative body.
