Inflation is affecting export of the country as the exporters of footwear, textiles etc pay their cost in baht and earn their income in foreign currency.

According to statistics, there is rise in inflation of about 6 percent since September 19. Experts are estimating further rise in inflation for next three to six months in spite of new anti-speculation measures taken.

Even certain exporters have also urged the central bank to cut interest rates to stop strong capital inflows and help to curb inflation. But Governor Tarisa Watanangase ruled out any possibility of immediate cut in rates because it can attract more money to stimulate the economy.

The Government is also trying for tax breaks and other incentives to help manufacturers, sources inform.
