Hai Phong city's export turnover to touch $1bn mark

Hai Phong City's export turnover is expected to surpass US $1 billion mark for first time, a surge of 24.8 percent compared to same period of 2005.
Export turnover for 2007 is expected to touch $1.2 billion, an increase of 18 percent compared to 2006.
Enterprises exporting goods from city increased by 20 percent in 2006, deals in footwear, garments, chemicals etc.
But city's export revenue per capita remained low placed at 5th position and was still imbalanced among economic sectors.
