National Iranian Carpet Center and Ministry of Commerce are jointly taking steps to enhance business of Persian rugs in world markets before next year.
Center has selected ten countries for exporting Persian rugs till now and it is thinking over holding talks with overseas marketing firms.
Speaking to the media, Center Chairman Morteza Faraji informed that last year exports of Persian rugs stood at $480 million. He expects this number to reach $500 million by December 31, 2007.
