Commodity exports reach $3.3bn in Jan

In January 2007, commodity exports of the country stood at US $3.3 billion, sources informed.
Out of commodity exports, $1.56 billion was contributed by domestic sector, a year-on-year rise of 23 percent.
While, foreign sector accounted for $1.15 billion of commodity exports, a hike of 8.9 percent.
During this period, exports of footwear and textiles increased by 8.6 percent and 2.6 percent, respectively.
