Leather goods exports reach $75.9mn in past 10 months

Although Chinese products were giving tough competition in domestic market, exports of bags, shoes and slippers drastically increased.
In past ten months, leather goods exports stood at US $75.9 million, a surge of 27.3 percent compared to the same period previous year.
However, exports of non-leather shoes and slippers reached $42.8 million in past ten months, a hike of 22 percent over previous year's figure.
Similarly, exports of leather bag and shoes stood at $13.1 million, an increase of 36 percent.
