In current fiscal year, trade between UAE and Pakistan is expected to surpass US $5 billion by June as exports of UAE have increased.
It is anticipated to increase at the rate of 20 percent compared to $4.1 billion in 2005-06.
During first half of current fiscal year, exports to UAE reached $700 million over $1.3 billion in 2005-06.
Out of the exports to UAE, petroleum products reached $400 million, textiles $200 million and leather $120 million.
However, imports from UAE stood at $2.8 billion and exports were $1.3 billion.
In past five years, bilateral trade volume has significantly increased from $1.5 to $4.5 billion.
In December last year, Governments of both the countries also signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for exchanging skilled manpower to UAE.
