Garment exports up 31% in 2007

In first two months this year, textile and garment reached more than US $1billion, an increase of 31.1 percent on year-on-year basis.
Experts advised domestic apparel enterprises to expand traditional market such as US, EU, Japan and more new ones.
They also stressed on building of trademarks, enhancing trade promotion and improving quality, design, marketing and management.
In current year, textile and garment exports are expected to reach US $7 billion compared to $5.8 billion in 2006.
