Cotton import decreases during April' 07

Statistics revealed that, in April 2007, China imported 215,000 tons of cotton, recording a decrease of 17.3 percent by 45,000 tons as compared to March 2007.

While comparing year-on-year figures, country has witnessed 56.2 percent decline with 275,500 tons in April 2007.

During the first four months of current year, country has imported a total of 1.3378 million tons of cotton, a decline of 50.3 percent compared to the same period last year, when 1.3553 million tons imported.
