EU remains top trading partner in 2007

Customs statistics shows that the EU continues to be China's largest trading partner in January-April, with bilateral trade value increase of 29.5 percent to reach US $103.6 billion.

The US is China's second largest trading partner. Bilateral trade amounted to $91.87 billion during the period, representing a growth of 18.9 percent.

Japan is the third largest trade partner; bilateral trade came to $73.84 billion in January-April, a rise of 15.4 percent.

In addition, China-ASEAN bilateral trade marked $59.5 billion by April, improving 26.6 percent. ASEAN continues to be China's fourth largest trade partner.

India remains one of the top 10 trading nations to China. Sino-Indian bilateral trade totaled to $11.41 billion in January-April, a surge of 56.8 percent, which was the fastest development pace among the major partners.
