In the coming budget Government is expected to cut back tariff on textile raw materials.

Considering this and efforts to expand markets to countries like Turkey and Russia, textile industry is anticipating export growth of over 25 percent in the next year. Textiles accounts for two-third of the total exports.

Statistics show that in the next financial year, Pakistan's textile exports are likely to grow from $12 billion last year to more than $15 billion in the coming year.

Textile shipments climbed to $8 billion in the first nine months of this fiscal from $7.5 billion in the same period last year.
