According to the latest statistics of Guangdong Customs, in the first six month of 2007, import and export trade value of the region marked US $285.79 billion, up 22.7 percent from the same period last year. This accounts for 29.1 percent of the national total import and export amount.
This has achieved a trade surplus of $46.25 billion, representing 41.1 percent of the country's trade surplus.
Guangdong's total import and export value in June reached $54.81 billion, setting a single month record high and achieving a growth of 24.8 percent over the same period previous year.
Trade surplus in June amounted to $11.83 billion in Guangdong province.
