Vietnam attracts huge orders from footwear giant

Charly Group recently revealed that it planned to import over 4 million pairs of Made-in-Vietnam footwear products in 2007, to mark years of successful cooperation with Asian Country's shoes manufacturers.

Company official further said that Vietnam's sports-shoes have been winning favor of the Mexican consumers and have attained a stable position and considerable market share.

Total Vietnamese footwear export to Mexico is estimated at around US $21.5 million in 2007.

In 2005, Mexican companies imported 15.7 million pairs of sports shoes from Vietnam, of which the Charly bought around 3.5 million pairs, worth $29 million, accounting for 22 percent of total imports turnover of the products from Vietnam.
