From January to May, China's chemical fiber exports reached 5,88,800 tons, a substantial increase 48.7 percent.

Of these, export volume of polyester filament yarn, polyester staple fiber and viscose staple fiber listed on top of China's total exports, accounting for 39.51, 26.46 and 7.57 percent respectively.

As the new lot of cotton has come into the market in July, it is expected that it will certainly influence the price trend of substitute fibers like viscose, polyester among others.

It is also anticipted that viscose market in the second half of the year will not be as exciting as it was in the first half.
