In August 2007, Binh Duong province earned US $446.9 million from exports, posting month-on-month increase of 1.3 percent. Total exports turnover in the eight months of 2007 reached $3.21 billion.
Among all products textile and footwear made top contribution, as both industries witnessed high growth in volume and value.
The figures of August show that enterprises of the province exported $500.7 million worth of textile product (up 40.8 percent) and $470.3 million worth of footwear products (up 12.5 percent).
For the period from January to August, the exports growth rate of textile and footwear was set at 40.1 percent and 29 percent respectively from same period 2006.
