Henan-based co exports mulberry silk to S Korea

Star Silk Company in Puyang city located in Henan province recently exported 3.5 tons of mulberry silk to South Korea from Qingdao Port.

For the first time Henan's high grade mulberry silk yarn has been exported to South Korea.

Recently, delegates from a South Korean company visited Puyang Star Silk and signed a trade deal at a price of US $200 per ton, higher than market price for similar products.

Star Silk Company has an annual capacity of producing 200 tons of mulberry silk and over 1,000 silk quilts. It is the largest silk reeling enterprise in Henan Province

This year, the company is trying further to improve the quality of raw silk even though its mulberry silk always maintained in 4A grade level and above level, with 60 percent up to 5A level.
