Industry and Trade Department of Dang Nang City reported that the city earned US $58.04 million exports turnover of goods and services in October 2007. Of these, goods accounted for $37.2 million and services reached $20.84 million.
By October end, the city's exports generated $615.04 million, posting 21 percent growth from same period 2006, which represented 81.2 percent of total target of 2007.
Products, which showed strong growth during this period include apparel at 39.8 percent, handicraft at 26.5 percent.
However, footwear exports continued to register drop for last three months, consecutively.
In turn, Da Nang imported $641.5 million worth of products like raw materials for domestic production, chemicals and machines.
