Vietnamese textile and apparel industry is very optimistic about obtaining its export target set for the current year, as it has fulfilled around 85 percent in the first ten months, realizing turnover of US $550 to 600 million in each month.
This year the country has set a target of generating $7.5 billion from exports and by October end the figures were $6.4 billion.
According to Le Quoc An, President of VITAS, if the prevailing export situation continues for the last two months of the year, and if no trade barriers are built by the US, the exports turnover might even exceed the set target.
