Binh Duong Province, located in the south eastern part of Vietnam, is a home to significant textile manufacturing industry, has exported goods worth $4.5 billion in the period from January to November this year. The rise this time was about 27.5 percent in comparison with same period 2006.
Major contributors in exports turnover of the province are wood, textile – apparel, electronics and handicraft products.
According to the Government sources, the wood products generated $1.05 billion, while the textile and apparel earned over 50 percent growth rate.
The province can boast of having the second highest levels of foreign investment in Vietnam. International players like Nike, Adidas and H&M have set up their manufacturing factories in the region to sell them locally as well as in abroad.
