The 'Chinese Knitting Industry's Development Forum' held in XiangShan County, Zhejiang Province, from November 30 to December 1, saw an attendance of over 300 people from Chinese knitting industry. The event was mainly focused on knitting industry's requirement of development.
Yang Shibing, Director of China Knitting Industry Association, said that this year knitted clothes export value realized in nine months is almost same as that earned in entire 2006. In addition to this, last year, the export of knitted clothing had accounted for over 50 percent of the total clothing exports of the country.
In the meeting it was also pointed out that China would carry out big adjustments for the knitting industry in next year.
Xiangshan County known for its knitting industry, has over 800 enterprises, with a yearly output of around 5.3 billion pieces of T-shirts.
