According to the latest statistics, in the period from January to October, this year, total export value of textile and clothing for Jiangsu Province was US $21.08 billion, up by 15.1 percent against the same period last year.
Of these, export value for textile was $8.55 billion, obtained a growth of 12 percent and clothing touched $12.53 billion, with a rise of 17.3 percent.
Of the total, exports to America, EU and ASEAN countries have gone up quickly. Export volume to these places saw a plunge but increased in terms of value. Shipments to America, EU and ASEAN were separately $4.34 billion, $3.95 billion and $1.44 billion, showing a boost of around 25, 26.3, and 20.4 percent.
Export value to Japan, and Korea were around $4.14 and $0.75 billion, with a growth rate of about 1, and 5.3 percent. In Hong Kong the export value was 1.18 showing a fall of 0.4 percent in the rise rate.
However, America has taken over as the biggest export market of Jiangsu province in place of Japan.
