Until last year, Chinese enterprises were eager to acquire export orders from Wal-Mart, but, in the present year, few Chinese textile companies have shown least concern for the same. Even, few have already stopped to maintain any trade relations with once coveted export dealer.
These companies were supplying low cost products to Wal-Mart, however, now with the RMB appreciation, lower export rebate rate, growing prices of raw material, these enterprises find it difficult to maintain the same export prices as earlier.
According to the statistics of China Customs, in the first 10 months of this year, the average export price of clothes was US $3.23 each unit, up by 14 percent over the same period of last year and for shoes it was $2.92 a pair, increased by 5.8 percent. This was noted to be $7.41 for the EU market which saw a boost of 16.6 percent.
At present, as most overseas buyers have accepted this rise of prices, the export value of Chinese shoes products has touched to $21 billion.
